Our Online Book Catalog Is Now Live!

The New Mexico State Library subscribes to dozens of electronic resource collections that are unavailable for free elsewhere on the Internet. These e-resources are housed in an online suite called El Portal.
El Portal connects users of all ages to newspapers, magazines, journal articles, and encyclopedias across a variety of topics. In addition to academic titles, El Portal contains topics of general interest like gardening, leisure, auto repair, and more.
El Portal can be accessed for free from any computer in New Mexico. If you are prompted to enter a password, contact reference@state.nm.us for assistance.
The New Mexico State Library licenses these resources for all New Mexico residents through funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Grant.
El Portal is also the entry point for Brainfuse, a tutoring and job help service. These resources provide students of all ages with live online tutoring and homework help, as well as career resources, resume, and interview help. Support for Brainfuse is also made possible by the LSTA funding.
